I am a father of three and a grandfather of four, and I have worked in the security industry for a number of years now. I have been writing poetry for over twenty years – on and off – and many of the poems are about events that have occurred in my own life or people in my life. To name a few: Respiratory Rehabilitation, My Pen, Dementia, My Crazy Car, What’s the Alternative, Justin and Paul. Each of these poems has its own story behind them.

As for hobbies, I enjoy spending time with my family, being part of an amazing church in Wolverhampton called ‘Kingsway’ and of course, reading and writing poetry. Another big part of my life is my role as a Ceremonial Macebearer for the University of Wolverhampton and Lichfield City Council.  Yes – I carry two maces but not at the same time. I have been doing this for a number of years and I absolutely love being involved with mace-bearing and the guild of mace-bearers.
